This journey started in the later part of 2008. Josiah and I met in church and both of us, being musicians, would talk quite a lot about music. We would also chat about life’s challenges and victories. Little did we know that in this great music sheet of life that God composed our melodies to play in perfect harmony in His great symphony. Conversing more, our mutual interest grew and we sincerely prayed about going the right way. God answered our prayers when He showed both Josiah and I, on separate occasions, 2nd Kings Ch 23 vs 19: “And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.”
And yes that was it! Both our names written in the same scripture verse and we were both born on the 19th! Our love story has God’s fingerprints all over it. Through many victories, several failures, 2nd Kings Ch 23 vs 19 has been our anchor. A flowery bed of ease was not promised but we stood these 13 wonderful, amazing and time-tested lovely years! I would not choose to have it any other way than to walk life’s journey hand in hand with my best friend and my beloved! As we are about to take this next step in life, we know “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians Ch 1 vs 6.
